When you sign up to use Sartre, you do so using your e-mail address/ phone number, name, and username. This information is kept encrypted end-to-end, and never shared. You also sign up by inputting your age, and your country. This information is not stored with your account, and does not have an effect on what services you access. This simply informs us of information we need to improve our marketing, or reach out to different groups – eg ‘we don’t have many users in X country, we should advertise more there’, or ‘not enough people in X year group are using the app, we should promote it to them more’. This information is collected anonymously, separate from your account details.
All of the information you put into the app is stored securely, so they cannot be shared or viewed by anyone except for you unless you share them with via a 3rd party.
If you contact Sartre User Support, any personal data shared with us is kept only for us to solve the issue and contact you about the issue you have. As soon as that issue is resolved, that information is deleted, or if it’s something covered by the above terms, eg a phone number or name, it remains encrypted.
We do not presently collect cookies from you when you use our services, or track how you use the app – eg how much you use it, what times, what areas within the app.
Sartre wants to share as little information as we can, but to ensure that the app functions and that we’re complying with the law, there is some info we need to share.
Phone numbers/ email: in order to send confirmation of payment/ subscription signup, we use 3rd party providers to send verification codes or emails. This information is bound by their privacy policies, and is safeguarded and private.
The data we process may be forwarded to the police and to the judicial and administrative authorities in order for us to fulfil our legal obligations.
When you delete your account, all personal information is deleted permanently from our servers as soon as we can, except in legal compliance cases.
We will regularly update this privacy policy so it is up-to-date, clear, and accurate. We will e-mail or text you every time there is a change, so that you are aware. Continuing to use Sartre after you’ve received an email or text means you accept the updated Privacy Policy.
